Oakley Machinery Division

Company Profile

Sterling A. Oakley began our company in the late 1940's. He and his staff invented, in rapid succession, the world's first automatic coil winding machine, the first automatic centralized filling machine, and the first roll reducer for compacting elements. Because of the revolutionary nature of this equipment, the worldwide demand far exceeded our capacity to produce it. As a result, in 1957 Mr. Oakley licensed the Kanthal Corporation to sell and build our equipment outside the United States and Canada., and they helped spread our machinery into every corner of the world.

In the 1970's we severed this relationship and began supplying our equipment directly for the export market. Since that time our export sales have increased at a phenomenal pace, and today our personnel travel the world extensively helping customers to meet their production requirements.

Currently, Oakley Industries, Inc. is comprised of three separate divisions:

The Machinery Division

The Tube Division

The Instant Heat Terminal Pin Division

Our corporate headquarters are located at our plant in Englewood, Colorado (a suburb of Denver). This plant handles all tube sales and produces about 50-60% of our tubing. Our plant in Niles, Illinois (a suburb of Chicago) produces all of the machinery, all of the terminal pins, and 40-50% of the tubing.

We produce a broad line of equipment for manufacturing tubular electric heating elements. For customers with limited production, we offer basic flexible and inexpensive machines. For customers with larger production requirements, we offer much more sophisticated and automated systems.

We have a very highly trained and dedicated staff available to assist customers with all phases of their operation from the original planning of their plant to the startup and operation of it. Our engineers and technicians are available either for in-plant assistance with equipment or with  production problems, and they are available to quickly answer questions via phone, fax, or email.

Our company is dedicated to producing total quality and total customer satisfaction. To meet this goal, we fully guarantee each and every machine we produce.
